iCloud Syncing
For your security and privacy, your countdowns are stored in your personal iCloud account. They’ll automatically sync between all of your devices and will also appear on any future devices you log into.
If you’re having trouble with iCloud syncing there’s a few things to check.
iCloud Access
Open the Settings app
Tap on your your name at the top
Tap on iCloud
Scroll down and locate Days Since
Make sure the switch is turned ON
Notifications
Silent notifications are sent from one device to another when changes are made. If notifications have not been allowed on both devices then syncing will be delayed.
Open Days Since
Tap on the gear in the upper left corner
Locate “Notifications” and make sure it says “Allowed”
If you see “Tap to Allow”, tap on the button and Accept Notifications when the prompt appears.
Version
Ensure that you’re using the latest version of Days Since and that both devices have iOS 14 or newer. Syncing is no longer supported on iOS 13 or earlier versions of Days Since.
Connection
Since background images can be large, syncing works best when on a strong connection.
Testing
Changes on one device are pushed to iCloud every few minutes (if the app is open that long) or when you leave Days Since by returning to the Home Screen. You can test syncing by following these steps:
Return to the Home Screen on both devices.
Open Days Since on the first device and make a change or add a new event.
Press the home button on your device to put Days Since in the background.
Open Days Since on the second device and wait up to 30 seconds to see if the change or new event appears.
